Why is collagen important:
Collagen is an important structural protein that helps maintain the strength and integrity of the skin, nails, hair and connective tissues. However, the body’s natural collagen production gradually decreases with age and may also be affected by sun exposure, stress, smoking, restrictive diets and an active lifestyle.
